The HIOKI LR8101 Data Logger is a modular, high-performance data acquisition system built for complex testing and system integration environments. Designed to support advanced energy and battery testing, it allows users to configure up to 300 voltage/temperature channels or 12 high-precision power channels, making it ideal for large-scale testing in EV, battery, and renewable energy development.
The LR8101 offers seamless integration into 19” rack systems and supports high-speed logging with update intervals as fast as 5 ms. Its robust architecture supports both voltage/temperature modules (M7100, M7102) and power modules (M7103), giving engineers the flexibility to customize their setup according to project needs.
Using the M7100 module, the system captures up to 150 voltage and temperature channels with high-voltage isolation up to 1500 VDC (CAT II), enabling safe monitoring of batteries up to 1200 V. With the M7102 module, the system supports up to 300 channels at 10 ms update intervals—ideal for 400 V battery logging.
The LR8101 can also be configured for precision power measurement using up to four M7103 Power Measurement Modules, offering 12 channels for long-term logging of voltage and current. These modules support direct voltage input up to 2000 VDC or 1000 VAC and are compatible with HIOKI’s wide range of high-accuracy current sensors (2 A to 2000 A), powered directly via ME15W connectors—no external power supply required.
With advanced features such as alarm outputs, trigger inputs/outputs, pulse/logic inputs, and TCP/LAN-based data transfer, the LR8101 ensures reliable, high-speed data acquisition for demanding R&D or production environments. It is controlled using the free Logger Utility software or Gennect One for convenient system setup and data management.
