The HIOKI CT6845A AC/DC Current Clamp integrates a clamp-style sensor with high-precision measurement capabilities, ensuring basic accuracy of ±0.2% rdg. This clamp allows easy, non-intrusive current measurement without interrupting the circuit, providing accurate data for demanding power analysis. Using advanced fluxgate technology, it guarantees superior stability and accuracy in both AC and DC current measurements.
With a 500 A maximum current rating and a frequency bandwidth ranging from DC to 200 kHz, the CT6845A accurately detects even rapid current fluctuations, making it perfect for use in the automotive and power electronics industries. The clamp’s high-precision design also makes it ideal for applications such as testing automotive electrical components, including air compressors and power steering systems, as well as for on-site evaluations of IGBT inverters and motor performance.
Designed to withstand extreme conditions, the CT6845A operates across a wide temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C, ensuring stability even in harsh environments like engine compartments or outdoor testing sites. The device can be directly connected to HIOKI Power Analyzers and Memory Recorders via the ME15W connector, which also powers the clamp. When paired with HIOKI sensor units (CT9555, CT9556, CT9557), it can be used with oscilloscopes or other data acquisition (DAQ) systems, offering a voltage output ratio of 4 mV/A.
Its robust construction, with a 50 mm core diameter and 3-meter cable length, allows for flexible installation in various test environments.
