The HIOKI CT6834 AC/DC Current Clamp provides exceptional precision and stability, with a basic accuracy of ±0.07% rdg. It is capable of measuring AC/DC currents up to 500 A, making it ideal for high-precision current measurements in tight spaces. Powered by advanced fluxgate technology, this clamp is designed for environments with dense wiring, such as vehicles, and ensures high reproducibility and reliable results, regardless of conductor placement.
This ultra-slim “Dolphin Clamp” design allows easy installation in confined spaces, such as measuring auxiliary battery current. The clamp can accommodate conductors with a maximum diameter of 20 mm, giving it versatility for a range of applications. Its low drift performance, even in extreme temperatures between -40°C to +85°C, ensures reliable data acquisition in automotive testing, environmental evaluations, and other challenging conditions.
One of the standout features of the CT6834 is its secure locking mechanism, which prevents accidental opening during measurements, making it ideal for demanding conditions. With a 50 kHz frequency bandwidth, the clamp captures dynamic current waveforms with precision, meeting stringent testing standards like WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure), essential for automotive applications.
The CT6834 can be directly connected to HIOKI Power Analyzers, Memory Recorders, or third-party equipment via the ME15W connector. When paired with HIOKI sensor units (CT9555, CT9556, or CT9557), it can be integrated with oscilloscopes or DAQ systems. The clamp’s 5-meter cable ensures flexibility in sensor placement, with 4 meters of cable between the sensor and control box, and an additional 1 meter from the control box to the connector, making it easy to integrate into various test setups.
