The HIOKI CT6834-01 AC/DC Current Clamp sets a new standard for measurement accuracy with a basic accuracy of ±0.07% rdg. It can measure AC/DC currents up to 500 A with unparalleled precision, thanks to its advanced fluxgate technology. This clamp is designed to operate in tight spaces with dense wiring, such as within vehicles or industrial equipment, and its ultra-slim “Dolphin Clamp” design ensures easy installation even in confined areas, like measuring auxiliary battery currents. The clamp supports conductors up to 20 mm in diameter, making it suitable for various applications.
The CT6834-01 is engineered for high reproducibility and stable measurements, even when the conductor’s position within the clamp changes. Its performance remains unaffected by temperature-induced signal drift, ensuring stable accuracy within 0.01%, even in extreme conditions like those found in automotive or environmental testing. This makes it ideal for demanding applications, such as WLTP testing (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure).
The clamp features an innovative locking mechanism to prevent accidental opening during use, ensuring reliability in challenging environments where sensors may be pressed against other components or squeezed between cables. It also boasts a wide frequency bandwidth of 50 kHz, allowing it to capture dynamic current waveforms and meet stringent testing standards.
With a 10-meter cable, the CT6834-01 offers excellent flexibility for sensor placement, with 4 meters of cable between the sensor and its control box, and an additional 6 meters from the control box to the connector. This makes it easy to integrate into various test setups and reach tight spots. The clamp works seamlessly with HIOKI Power Analyzers, Memory Recorders, and third-party equipment via the ME15W connector, providing a voltage output ratio of 4 mV/A.
